Northern Craft Summer Fair & PIN DROP

When we applied to the Northern Craft Summer Fair we had no idea we would be asked to take part in this awesome exhibition, Pin Drop.  Carley & Sean commissioned 21 artists, designers and makers to each design a pin badge that would depict the North of England.  Well we jumped at the chance to be a part of this!  Our design came from the inspiration that is our little dog, Pip.  He’s a little Chorkie but with way more Yorkshire Terrier in him than Chihuahua, so we thought what could be more northern than a little Yorkie?! (Well probably a lot more but we love dogs!)

The whole event was very secretive and Carley & Sean made sure not to unveil any of the pin designs until the weekend of the summer fair.  However, they asked a local Instagrammer and designer herself, Kim Lawler of Finest Imaginary, to pick her five favourite designs and share each of them on social media and amazingly we ended up being one of them!

How cool are the other designs by Drew MilwardTelegrammeDick Vincent and Amy Panda?! To see more of the pin designs and to see which ones we picked up at the fair check our Instagram page or better still, read all about each designer/maker by checking out this link by Northern Crafthttps://www.northerncraft.co.uk/pin-drop

We thoroughly enjoyed the Northern Craft Summer Fair at Northern Monk Refectory in Leeds two weeks ago and even took Pip along with us!  As usual he was an instant hit meeting lots of new people but by the Sunday he was done and asleep under the table for most of the day.  As usual the fair was brilliantly organised by Carley & Sean even to the point of them arranging a free lunch for every stall holder by the fabulous Golden Balls Kitchen and Manjits Kitchen UK

Thanks for another great event Northern Craft and of course to all the lovely folk who came by!  See you at the South Bank Social in Leeds on the 26th August!
